Jaclyn Duff came up through the equitation ranks, winning the prestigious CET Medal Final at the 2003 Royal Horse Show in Toronto. She enjoyed her first taste of international success as a member of the silver medal team at the 2007 North American Young Riders’ Championships riding Pan Tau 55.
In 2012, the show jumping world saw a glimpse of great things to come when she won the Jump Canada National Talent Squad Championship at the Royal Horse Show. At the same location two years later, Duff proved she was a force to be reckoned with after claiming the Canadian Show Jumping Reserve Championship title, relinquishing the win to 10-time Olympian Ian Millar. The year 2014 also marked Duff’s first FEI win in the $35,000 CSI2* Sierra Excavating Enterprises Cup at the Caledon Equestrian Park in Ontario riding Stakkarus. Shortly after, she made her Nations’ Cup debut at CSIO3*-W Bratislava, Slovakia, riding Pater Noster.
In 2015, Duff scored two more FEI wins, including the $75,000 CSI2* Grand Prix, at L’International Bromont in Quebec riding EH All or None. More success followed as Duff began training with Canadian Olympic champion Eric Lamaze in 2017, providing an opportunity to compete throughout Europe from his base in Belgium. In addition to representing Canada in Nations’ Cup team competition in Rome, Italy; Gijon, Spain; and La Baule, France, Duff won the €92,000 1.60m Grand Prix at CSI4* La Coruna, Spain, in 2017 with EH All or None.
A graduate of the University of Alberta, Duff holds her Bachelor of Arts in economics. Currently residing in Calgary, AB, Duff bases her business, Windermere Stables Ltd., out of Fordville Farm where she accepts horses for training. Duff also coaches on a freelance basis and is becoming a popular clinician. Competing at the top level of the sport, Duff spends her winters in either California or Florida and travels to Europe on a regular basis.
